We are giving back

5% of all invoiced consultancy hours go into our “GIVING BACK” project

5% of all invoiced consultancy hours go into our “GIVING BACK” project. Each year our “Giving Back” donation will be dedicated to one or more charity projects suggested by our employees or by our customers. The only criteria for suggesting a project is that it must be personal. Our staff or customers must manage the project themselves and personally deliver the donation. By doing so we honor the BrownBag DNA by making everything we do as personal as possible.

Every year the BrownBag team gives back to people who, for many reasons, are struggling or just need a helping hand. This is how we do it:

2023 Giving Back:

In 2023, BrownBag and our customers contributed with more than DKK. 50.000,- worth of charity donations and giveaways.

As usual we sponsored the Julemærkehjemmet Foundation with an upgraded sponsorship. We also made donations to the Foundations Red Barnet and Børns Vilkår, again to support the wellbeing kids and youngsters in Denmark and abroad.

Helping homeless people at Christmas time was again a great way to end the year by remembering that helping others is just a small gesture that might have a huge impact.

2022 Giving Back:

With increased revenue and a higher-than-expected result, BrownBag was able to increase our donation to The Julemærkehjemmet Foundation. We also committed to help Børns Vilkår, an organization that helps kids in Denmark with council and help.

With the help of friends and family we also helped homeless people in December with vouchers to 7-Eleven and McDonalds. This has been a recuring event every year from 2016.

2021 Giving Back:

This year we have extended our commitment to The Julemærkehjemmet Foundation with an extended sponsorship and will continue to help kids in Denmark needing a break from the everyday life. We have also signed a new sponsorship with SVF-Skagenskolen who operates a school in Gambia. The new sponsorship allows us to help young kids get an education and sustain a healthier living.

2020 Giving Back:

This year, BrownBag has already supported the Julemærkehjemmet Foundation with a sponsorship and will continuously find charities to support… stay tuned for more Giving Back.

2019 Giving Back:

Throughout 2019, the BrownBag team sent families hit by cancer to weekend retreats to get their minds off the illness and find a moment of quality time. 8 families were giving either a weekend stay or an optional choice to find their own location.

2018 Giving Back:

In December 2018, the BrownBag team and 80% of our customers helped 12 families with Christmas shopping. donating gift vouchers worth DKK. 10.000,- from nemlig,com. We hope that our small effort made the holiday season just a bit better for the kids and parents of those families.

2017 Giving Back:

In December 2017, the BrownBag team and our customers shopped Christmas groceries for 5 families in need of a helping hand. More than 20 bags of groceries were delivered by our customers employees and our team. Additionally, 5 gift vouchers were issued to other families living too far away to reach them personally. We hope our small donation made a huge difference for the families, especially the kids during the Christmas holidays.

2016 Giving Back:

In December 2016, the BrownBag team handed out 25 goodie bags to homeless people in downtown Copenhagen, each bag including a pillow, a warm blanket, sandwiches, water, sweets and coffee vouchers for 7-Eleven… naturally the bags we handed out were “brown”.
